Having previously put their signature on the Nike Air Force 1 in 2012 and the Air Force 1 High in 2014, it was only right that Supreme complete the trifecta by working on an Air Force 1 Mid.
Supreme has had many collaborations, but by far the most hyped was the one with Nike and the NBA. For Spring/Summer ‘18, they worked on the Air Force 1 Mid. The shoe features a collage of NBA team logos alongside Supreme’s own Box Logo.

Accompanying pieces to the collection include Supreme x Nike x NBA Warm-Up Jacket, AeroSwift Connected Basketball Jersey, AeroSwift Basketball Shorts. Controversial player J.R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers modeled the jersey and the shorts. Smith has developed a reputation that keeps NBA fans and the media talking. But his bad boy appeal added some welcome synergy to Supreme’s unique identity.

Looking at the pieces feels as if you’re back in the early ‘00s. The time when sporting leather bombers and all-over print style was really popular. The inspiration behind the design was the work of leather jacket supremo Jeff Hamilton. Hamilton made custom pieces for basketball superstars before acquiring licenses to produce branded jackets throughout the ‘90s.
The Supreme x Nike NBA collection is all sold out on the official channels. However, I’ll keep you updated if and when it comes back in stock. You can find some of the pieces on eBay and Kick Game.
