Jordan Brand welcomes Luka Doncic

Jordan Brand continues his strong moves. Over Christmas, Michael Jordan’s brand announced that it has attracted one of the most up-to-date names in the basketball world – Luka Doncic. The 20-year-old Slovenian becomes the first European in history to sign with Jordan.

Jordan himself, who over the years has become synonymous with basketball and the NBA, welcomes the young star of Dallas:

“Luka is a phenomenal player and is still so young. It shows the skills that many basketball players have been working on for years. It will be amazing to continue to follow his development. We are excited about the decision to join us. It is another name that will introduce Jordan Brand in the years to come and for generations to come, ”said Jordan’s statement.

Doncic won the Rookie of the Year award in his NBA debut season, and in the second year, he upgraded even more and gained fans on his side with his game as well as his off-field behavior. Until now, the young European had no contract with any company, and in the 2019/2020 season, he wore a variety of sneakers – starting with Nike (most often models of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant), passing through Jordan and reaching Under Armor. The latter was cited as a favorite for attracting Doncic to his side.

Earlier in the year, Doncic surpassed Jordan in the top-10 list with at least 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. In the last few Dallas games that Luca missed due to his injury, he showed impeccable taste and, while not on the team, wore several different retro models of the brand – including variants of the Air Jordan I as well as the Air Jordan IV.

He is expected to play mostly with Jordan Jumpman Diamond and Jordan XXXIV by the end of the season. According to unconfirmed information, the deal is for five years and the Slovenian star will receive $ 100 million over that period.
